What is Starlink?

Starlink is a satellite internet network operated by SpaceX. It currently consists of over 5,500+ small satellites in low Earth orbit that beam high-speed broadband to users around the world. Offering speeds up to 200 Mbps, Starlink aims to provide connectivity to remote and rural areas unserved by traditional internet providers. Since its first launch of 60 satellites in May of 2019, over 2M+ subscribers have signed up for the service across 40 countries. While still expanding, Starlink has proven a game-changer for closing the digital divide on a global scale.
